In mid-September I spent two weeks reconnoitering the route for the IFMR "Atlantic Canada" tour of Quebec and the Maritime Provinces. Here's a sampling of sights along the tour route. ENJOY!!! And come join us next June for the tour.

HIGHLIGHTS

HOTEL:
IFMR-NA has arranged for a block of rooms for IFMR members at the Hotel Imperia in the Montreal suburb of Ste-Eustache. The hotel will serve as the official headquarters for IFMR activities during the Rotary International Convention. To reserve a room, email Benoit Turpin, the hotel manager, at bturpin@imperiahotel.com or call 1-888-472-3336. Be sure to mention "IFMR" or "Motorcycling Rotarians" to get the group rate of C$109 / night.

GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING:
There will be a General Membership Meeting and Dinner of IFMR-NA members at the Hotel Imperia on Sunday evening, June 20, including inauguration of the next president of IFMR-NA, Bob Shriner. All IFMR members are invited to attend. The meeting/dinner will be held at 6 PM in a reserved section of the hotel's Bistro, with meals selected from the menu and paid individually. Please make reservations in advance (so we have a head-count for the restaurant) by email to bob@shriner.com.

SCENIC RIDE TO MONT TREMBLATT:
On Monday, June 21, Bill Smith will lead a group on a day-ride to the scenic Mont Tremblatt area. All riders wishing to participate in this tour should be in the Imperia Hotel parking area, gassed up, and ready to go at 9 AM. The group will return to the Imperia Hotel by late afternoon.

TOUR OF ATLANTIC CANADA REGION:
Following the Rotary International Convention, IFMR-NA is planning a motorcycle tour of the scenic and historic St Lawrence region of eastern Quebec and the Canadian Maritime provinces. See preview photos and other details in the blog.
